My bichon frise poodle just ate part of a sausage link. She’s a pretty small dog and bichons are supposed to eat any kinds of scraps. Is she gonna get really sick cause she’s not used to it? Please help!
Smaller dogs tummys are a little sensitive. So eating something that is new may upset and cause a bit of diarrhoea. However asking as it doesn’t last more than 2 days this is perfectly fine. It is just her body trying to get rid of what didn’t agree with her.
I have a young Maltese and even switching dog food causes an upset stomach for him.
Keep an eye on her if your worried, and if she looks like she is getting ill (sleeping more, unusual behaviour, whining), then a check up at the vet may be needed. However I doubt it will come to that
